Dr. John Melniczek grew up just down the block in Shillington and still roots for his Alma Mater Governor Mifflin. He received bachelor degrees from Arcadia University, a Master’s degree from Villanova University and his VMD from the University of Pennsylvania. He later completed a Residency and Fellowship at the University of Pennsylvania. This is Dr. Melniczek’s second stint at Wyomissing Animal Hospital – he worked here from 2002 – 2016. He has also worked in other private practices in southeastern Pennsylvania, the Animal Rescue League, and in an emergency hospital. In May of every year, he volunteers in Honduras treating companion and farm animals. The rest of the time is spent with his wife and two children and a plethora of pets. He has been on the board of the Owen J. Roberts School District since 2019.
